Wharf Street Redesign Project
Line painting (which includes painting parking stalls) is scheduled for mid-July. Without painted lines designating the parking stalls it can be difficult to interpret signage and understand where parking is and isn’t allowed. This causes confusion and safety concerns if parked vehicles obscure visibility for drivers and pedestrians.
PARKING SUMMARY
- The majority of parallel parking is on the NORTH side of Wharf Street
- Unless designated (in front of Funk It, and angle parking east of the Visitor Info Centre) there is no parking on the SOUTH side of Wharf Street (along the sidewalk)
- Disobeying the No Parking on the southeast corner of Oceanview (across from the Sea Raven) causes dangerous visibility issues.

Parking Changes
Please be advised that as of Monday, February 10th 2025 the Village will be enforcing Street and Traffic Bylaw No. 56-2012 on the south side of 3rd Avenue, between 9th and 10th Street.
No Overnight Parking adjacent to the Community Park - In the coming weeks additional signs will be installed along the Community Park parking lot informing residents and visitors of the overnight parking prohibitions.
Please follow posted signage for parking.
First Offence: $25 Each Subsequent Offence: $50
Every day during which there is an infraction of this Bylaw shall constitute a separate offence.
